HTML Symbols

You can also add icons/symbols that are not on your keyboard by using entities.

HTML Symbols are used to add mathematical , technical and currency symbols to an HTML page that are not present on a normal keyboard.

HTML Symbol Entities

To insert a special character in HTML, you can use its entity — alphanumeric value. As HTML-code, it begins with hash # and ends with semicolon ;.

For instance, there are 4 ways to write copyright sign ©:

  • Copy-Paste ©
  • Write its decimal HTML-code: ©
  • Use its hexadecimal HTML-code: ©
  • Insert its HTML-entity: ©

All these codes you can find on our website, on a page of the corresponding symbol.
